You at least got something out of that.  However, you should npt let the insurance company fool you loke that.  They will do that to you at times

Are you working with a lawyer to help you through this?  I too am involved with workman's comp and finally contacted a lawyer to be sure the insurance company did not give me the run around.  I too have life long disabilities from my injury and do not know if my employer plans on giving me another job yet or not.  I was injured in New Jersey, live in the west and am covered by Tennessee comp laws because that is where my employer is located.  I learned that each state has different laws and I will be covered for life for medical bills relating to the injury.  That Is TN law.  Not every state offers this.
If you do not have an attorney most will talk to you at no cost for the first consultation.  Might be worth checking into.

Thank you for the message.....As to working with an atturney well the first one
helped himself to 33% of a settelment that took 5 years to orchastrate by the Insurance  Co. and the employer who has a nationwide opperation and you were right, each state is governed by the their own laws. What the employer thinks
is the laws of one state can be used in another since my settlement they have
changed insurance Companys and I am still a pain in their butt. I got to a settlement hearing this time to settle for the medical asspect of the ten year claim to be resolved. I'm on SSI and the V.A. hospital is in my home town Iwas one question away from setteling this thing once and for all. The judge said to
me all bills prior, during the rest of your life and bills paid by assestence for even a short period of time would be my responsiblity if it were a result of this injury, HIS
LAST WORD WAS ARE YOU SURE THIS AMOUNT IS ENOUGH?????? Hercules865
