There must be other wheelchair users here; have any of you ever tried handcycling? I just recently got a Top End Excellerator and I think it's great. Now that the weather is getting warmer, I plan to go out riding every day. I had become stagnent and was getting fat 'till a friend told be about these things and when I got one, I couldn't believe how much fun it could be or what a good "work out" a body can get from it. They are expensive, but if you can manage it, it's like SO worth it. I have a few links on my web site for you to check out if you think you might be interested in finding out more about it. Just click on my name below to get there.

That really sounds like fun..  Do you know of any sites on handcycling or sites that offer equipment?

Sure do, here's a few:

Bike-On is THE place to get your handcycle. Whether you want a new one or a good used one, Scott will probably give you the best deal on a handcycle you could get anywhere. I have done business with him on two occasions and I have been very satisfied with the results. I will list links to various handcycle producers further down for comparison shopping, but I encourage you to purchase your handcycle here at Bike-On.

Handcycling Times is a resource site with links and handcycling news and articles of interest. They have a bulletin board style forum, riders' profiles, calendar of events, and a buyers' guide. A very useful site!

Quinn's Handcycling Page has a lot of good information on handcycling.

U. S. Handcycling Federation gives you all the information you need to know about handcycling racing.

HandcycleRacing.com offers a variety of services including; news, personalized training, sale of used  equipment and information about the sport of handcycling.

Handcycling.com  is an excellent resource covering all areas of handcycling.

Faszination Handbike is an interesting German handcycling site worth looking at.

I hope this will be some help to anyone interested.
