Do you think people are more judgemental of others now than they were a hundred years ago?

I think they were more judgemental years ago.  Today you get slammed for being too judgemental even if it's justified.

I think that people are more judgemental today than they were years ago.  Today you are judged differently than 100 years ago.

Today you are judged for the clothes you wear, the "bling bling" you sport on your wrists and hands, the number of wrinkles you do not sport, the car you drive, the food you eat. the house you live in, the job you have.  Today it seems like you are judged for the value of what you have or don't have and not for being the person that you are.

A hundred years ago you were judged for some of the same items but not all.  Take away the bling.  Take away the labels on the clothes.  Take away the car.  You might have been judged because of your faith or your heritage.....but you were judged more so as the person you were and not for superficial items.

Well I think the morals of 100 years ago were very different and judged more harshly  than  what is accepted today.

I feel the same as Adair.  I think the majority of society judges us on our looks and what kind of materialistic things we have.  Back in the day when very few people had luxuries, the majority were pretty much in the same boat.  Then they might have judged you for your morals and how you treated others.  Today, our morals are almost non-existent and we're more interested in the glitz and glitter people display than the individual underneath it all.
