Do any of you take it?  A woman I work with said her cholestrol was really getting up there and her doctor wanted her to take prescription medication for it.  She refused and said she'd try other means.  She has a family member who is a pharmacist and he told her to take fish oil capsules.  They're over-the-counter, inexpensive and they work.  He reminded her that previous generations always used cod liver oil and that we should have stuck with that tradition.  She took his advice and 7 months later had another blood test done and her cholestrol has lowered considerably.  Her doctor asked her what she did to bring it down and she told him. He grinned at her and said "your cousin gave you excellent advice".

We eat Shred's spread with Omega -3 added. Same with Milk -- there's so much literature out there on how beneficial Omega -3 is for our hearts. I'm on Zorcor but still think the omega -3 can only add more punch.

Cholesterol 3.2 ?   That must be the way it is computed in India.
Here a good cholesterol level is less than 200

Joan -  she said she takes 2 caps a day (1200 mg each cap).  I started taking 1 in the morning and then 1 with dinner.  There is a slight fishy smell when you open the bottle, but absolutely no taste or burps (lol).  They're about twice the length of a vitamin E capsule and go down very easy.  Best part of all is they're inexpensive.  I got a twin pack at Wal-Mart for under $10!

here 10 is very high, 5 is average and anything below 5 is ok. Just because we measure it a simpler way does not mean that this is wrong.

My dog takes a double dose daily for allergies!  She used to lick and scratch up a storm and then the doc put her on a high dose of fish oil and she has been doing great.

I wondered about taking it. I thought they caused an after taste of fish. I buy the margarine with oil in it too.  bonnie
