Im looking for information on my great-great grandparents...James Benham and his wife, Francis Caroline Rachel Currell. James was born 1835 and Francis, in 1836. They married in England in 1863. They came to Canada and settled in Beaverton Ontario in 1869 from Kent, England, with 4 children, and had 4 more in Canada. One of the 4 born here was my great grandmother, Jane Sarah. Cindy | |

There are two churches I have found in Frindsbury, Kent. One is St Philip & St James but wasn't built until 1878 so we can exclude this as being the place of Thomas Benham & Keturah Town's marriage. However, the other is All Saints where the original registers date back to 1669 so I imagine we can (reasonably safely) assume this to be the correct church: Hope this is of interest. Kay Manager |
