I am really sorry to hear about the house fire.  Hope that nobody was hurt.  It must be so distressing to lose so much, but hopefully you can get the info again, piece by piece.

Thanks Marian no one hurt but they did loose a couple of pets as well as all the personal stuff it's a pity i didn't keep copies of all the stepmums family stuff that i had got for her if it was my mum's it would have been right cause i have have all the cert's for mum & dad and have also saved copies of them thanks again for your help

If you have a copy of  William and Martha's marriage certificate as per message number 4, it will tell you their ages at marriage and their fathers' names.  This would be very helpful to know before proceeding further.

William Cook senior's death at age 72.  We know from the census that he was born c1824. 

 

And Mary Ann died in 1908.

 

 

One of these is Mary Ann, but because her age varies so much in the censuses I am not sure which.  But if you got her marriage cert it would give her father's name on it.
