Jane's baptism was certainly 16 August but it was 1846, not 1848 as you say - here is the LDS record I have found:

From the initial information you gave me, I have certainly found Jane on the 1851 census (which would be the first one she would be listed on due to her birth year) with parents James and Jane, along with siblings:
Elizabeth Christened 3.5.1840 St Keverne
John Willy Christened 27.3.1842 St Keverne
Grace Christened 12.7.1844 St Keverne
Josiah Christened 19.11.1848 St Keverne
This is the only family on the 1851 census that lists a Jane Couch with parents James & Jane that fits the year and area of her birth in 1846.
