Hi Kay,

I got the certificates finally and not one of them is connected with Jane or her husband Thomas.

However, I was perusing the ydna surname projects on family tree dna and there was a Carr tested with earliest known ancestor from Donegal, Ireland about the right time, so I am thinking this would be a relative of Jane's and it gives me the genetic origins of these Carr's which was something I was wanting to know.

I also noted a Jane Kerr entry into Oz about the right time but haven't had a chance to follow this up through the Oz national archives shipping lists yet.

I have been having as much fun tracking down the Burns' from Ireland too, they all seem to disappear in Ireland for soem reason???

... and would you believe I have another Thomas Smith from another line of my mums from the UK... and no, I am not going there lol!

Thanks for all your help.

Adele
