Looking for information on Mary Grace born abt 1871 originally from Tullaroan Co.Kilkenny. Mary had a son out of wedlock named Joseph Grace he was born 1904, he died 1986. We know little as to what happened to Mary only that she married a Brennan. Its more than likely they lived in Urlingford. Can you help ? Regards Pat C |

Hi Patsy,Like yourself i Put to one side at first,But kept Going back It was not until I found the Marriage i realised,As i thought it two Different People But then realised,That Ellen and Ellenor Are the same,But The marriage was 1871,So it Means Those other Dates are Possibly Wrong.I have seen this numerous times on the LDS.Dont know why it happens,It has to be the submitters.possibly unable to read census properly. But it can throw you out Mike |

Hi again Mike. I need to ask your advice on Irish passenger ships. We now know that Mary Grace went to America (date not known as yet) Im sifting through the sites you sent me still. Do you know how long it took to get from Ireland to The States back in the late1880`s ? Regards pat C .... hope your having a enjoyable bank holiday weekend. I can see from my mail you have been busy. |

Hi Mike Janet Kingsford here you have been looking for Mary Grace for Patzy. From Marys headstone she died 9/3/55 aged 84 years so birth date 1871 probably correct. Her husband John Brennan died 10/03/1940 aged 76 years therefore born 1863/64. Their first son Michael died 24/06/87 aged 79 years so he must have been born 1905/06 as my grandad was born 1904 as a Grace she must have married sometime between the two births. She went on to have two daughters Margaret died 27/11/90 aged 80 years and Mary (aka Mollie) died 2/07/91 aged 78 years. Hope this might help in some way Janet |

Hi Mike Have found out that Mary Grace was possibly born in Clontubrid parish of Lisdowney 1870/1871 not in Tullaroan. I have also been told that it is thought that my grandad Joseph Patrick Grace was born on the ship bringing my great grandmother Mary Grace back from America. Are there any records kept of babies being born on the ship or would they be registered when the ship arrived back in Ireland. Thanks Janet |
