The father of James BOWE is Thomas - perhaps John is the brother of Thomas.

 

James (Snr) didn't leave Ireland only 3 of his sons. James (Jnr) arrived in Australia about 1911 (don't know for sure - just know that he worked for some time in Victoria before marrying in South Australia in 1916. Thomas emigrated to Sydney, New South Wales and Jeremiah to Wagga Wagga, New South Wales about 1912.

 

The children of James (Snr) were:

Anastatia        - born ±1866 in Huntstown

Ellen               - born (I estimate) ± 1870 in Huntstown          - became a Sister of Mercy

Mary              - born 19.04.1880 in Huntstown                     - married John MURRAY

Kathleen         - born ± 1882 in Huntstown                           - married Frank DUIGH

Thomas          - born ±1882 in Huntstown                             - married and died in Australia

Peter              - born ±1886 in Huntstown                             - died, single, in Ireland

James             - born 7.10.1887 in Huntstown                       - married and died in Australia

Julia                - born ± 1890                                                - married Patrick KIRK

Michael           - born ± 1891 in Tullaroan                             - married Mary MC CORMACK

Jeremiah          - born 14.05.1893 in Huntstown                    - married and died in Australia

John                - born ± 1894 in Tullaroan                             - became Br Fideles (de la Salle order) - died ± 1919

Margaret         - unknown details

unnamed child  - unknown details

(I believe 3 children were either stillborn or died very young - Anastatia, Margaret and unnamed ??)

 

I understand the family property in Huntstown is still occupied by descendents - possibly through the Kirks.
