Hello everyone......I am interested in finding parentage of Edward STEWART .

I don`t have any details except his wife was Margaret DONOVAN.

Their son James STEWART came to Australia in 1862 aboard the Flying Cloud. He was listed as being 40 yrs of age as per Passenger List.
His wife was Ellen RYAN and I have a list of their children.......no actual birth dates but ages on departure....marriages and deaths in Australia.

Some of the connections to this family were supposedly in the Ballybrohan area as per Griffith Valuation 1850.
Other connections:-
Father Tim.STEWART, PP at Kilmaley.
Dr.Charles STEWART....retired to Dublin.
Dr.Joe STEWART....Dublin.
Patrick STEWART.
Dominic STEWART (son of Pat.)
Dr.Edmund STEWART....surgeon.
Daniel STEWART....(brother of Edmund)...farmer.

This information has been given to me by a late Uncle who travelled to Ireland in 1976......how these families are connected is unknown to me.

Any information re Edward and Margaret ....however small will be much appreciated.
Thank you.
Val.Stewart.

Hi Val
This may help.  If you go to Clare Library site there is a lot of info on the Stewart family

I set this to the Search Page for you

If you need some expert advice on the family, you can contact Peter Beirne, Chief Librarian.  Peter is a good friend and very helpful.  If you require his email address please let me know.
