My g.g. Grandfather Edwin Allberry married Eliza Ingram born 1841. I have all of Edwins side of the family but wonder if possible could you find anything out on Eliza Ingram.  I know her father was John Ingram born c 1793.

Hi Dee

Well although it doesn't show John's mother as a "Smith", here is the birth record I found for him (Mike has also found this so I'm pretty certain this is correct).

I will see if I can throw any light on the Ann Smith - and Ann Smith issue!!!!

I've found the marriage record for Henry and Ann, Dee, here it is:

HENRY INGRAM Pedigree
  Male   Family

Event(s):
Birth:
Christening:
Death:
Burial:

Marriages:
  Spouse:  ANN SMITH Family

Marriage:
01 OCT 1791   Hemel Hempstead, Hertford, England

I'll see if I can find anything for a marriage of John (the son) and his wife Ann.

As you can probably imagine Dee, there are rather a lot of Ann Smith entries in Hertford, to say the very least.  I've done a search for Ann Smith, connected with John Ingram but I'm afraid I've found nothing.  Obviously I will keep looking for you and get straight back if the elusive Ann Smith turns up!

You're most welcome Dee.  Hope you have had a nice break.  When you have digested things and got back into the swing of family research do feel free to get back to us and we'll see what else we can find.

Best wishes.

Hi Kay
Now to totally throw things lol.  Not wandering away from my Jacobs, as this lot are connected to them anyway, but i have just been asked if i have a Sarah Ann Ingram b abt 1791Lambeth? married to William Lambert 1816 I think 1861 is marriage date not his birth date.  I am sure i have seen these two around amongst my paperwork somewhere but can i find it no!! Can you tell me how or if i can find this out or is it to much to ask as i have asked you so many questions i feel as if i am pushing my luck, but i think Sarah is possibly a sibling of one of the above Ingrams, I know this is stupid but i can seem to find out peoples names on Ancestry or IGI but then when i try to trace backwards or forwards i still dont have a clue what to do, i wish you could get a step by step guide on how to do this or maybe i am just a bit thick lol.
Many thanks
Dee

Its a daft questions i know but i am trying to find out if she is my line of Ingrams so anything i can find or with your help can find to help me with this, so a marriage record or birth record for Sarah Ann would be good, I hope this makes sense to you

The thing is Dee, looking at the dates you have for Sarah Ann Ingram - if she were born 1791c and married in 1861 - she would have been 70.  I'm a bit doubtful of this - what do you think?

Well I did wonder if it should have been 1816 and checked anyway.  Alas, no marriage records showing for William Lambert and Sarah Ann Ingram but did find the following, which in truth I don't feel is correct, but thought I'd show you anyway:

WILLIAM LAMBOTH Pedigree
  Male   Family

Event(s):
Birth:
Christening:
Death:
Burial:

Marriages:
  Spouse:  ELIZABETH ANN INGRAM Family
  Marriage:
01 APR 1816   Saint Dunstan, Stepney, London, England
