My Lafferty was - Daniel Bernard... born 2/1856 born in County Tyrone, and died March 04 1931 in Jersey City New Jersey.... married Annie McCabe in April 29th 1884 in Phila, PA.  the first 2 children Anna born January 1885 and Daniel Peter born May 19th 1887 were both in Phila,...  Now there is a John, Hugh, Mary and James Leo that were all born in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Now i found Daniel Bernard in 1900 and 1910 Census.... and I know that Anna died 1901.

In all of the Census he is listed as Daniel, and with the family they all said the he went by Dan or Daniel.  my Grandfather Daniel Peter also went by Daniel.  and I have an Uncle  named Daniel Peter jr.

I wonder if and how this Bernard fits in.  But there are so many Bernard, and Daniel's.  I know they came to Amercia at Phildephia and them moved north to Jersey City New Jersey.. but i dont know why...

now the funny stuff.  I seen a picture of Daniel Bernard's grave site in JC, with the date of death March 04 1931, on the toumbstone, but when i tried to get a death certificate in NJ they didnt have one.  Also I can not find Daniel Bernard in the 1920 or 1930 Census.  I have looked page by page. and nothing...

Hope this helps with the Lafferty side.  Man there are SO many lafferty's...LOL..

WOW that would be interesting but i dont think its my Daniel.  in the 1900 and 1910 Census looks like he arrived in 1874 or 1879 could not make out what it was.... so he had to be somewhere in 1880..

oh also... on the surname for Annie... i have had a few.. McKage, McCaig, and McCabe.  I an going with the McCabe. becasue when i got Annie Lafferty (McCabe). Death certificate it states parents are John and Annie McCabe.

Also in the Baptisum certificate for the two kids that were born, same thing.. one said McCabe, and one said McCaig...... how confusing.....
