Hi Mike , That means our 14 year old JOHN, is the SON of the 40 year old JOHN ( the mariner) from IRELAND, am i correct?.

If this is , correct , it makes JOHN the mariner my wife's great Grandfather. thats great, thanks Mike.

Hi Bill Sorry i have not been i touch for a while,There was a Programe On our tv Last night.where the person looking for his Master Mariner Great Grandfather.He obtained the record from The Maritime Museum in GRENWICH london

Hi   Mike,   just visited your site and noticed your post  re:  Maritime Museum, i got into their site and got confused with a lot of information, but no links to any lists of personel,  any suggestion's ?   I think we are both talking about my Great Grandfather Robert Ramsey born Dublin Ireland  1843!!!
Thanks for not forgetting me Mike.
Any chance of checking Hannah Ellis born 1826  Kilala Ireland,   Hannah married Robert Moore,  from  Belfast  Ireland born 1829 ,  I need info on their marriage,   they  went to England  and had a family including John Moore !!  who we Believe is my wife "Teresa"s  grandfather ( that"s   the guy  we have been hunting for )    hope i'm not boreing you.

You may already know bill msn groups are closing.We are in process of trying a new site.Once we are sure its going to be ok we will send out e mails to all our Members.
We are trying to design it very similar,To make it user Friendly.

Hi Bill some time back on a tv Programme called Who do you think you are.
There was someone searching for His relatives One was a Master Mariner.
He was able to recieve info about him From Greenwich Maritime Museum.
So it may be worth Emailing them With ref To Our Elusive Mr Ramsey.
They should be able to tell you.How to obtain details of his record.
The Guildlhall Museum in London hold the records for Lloyds Captains registers .But presently they  have not got anything under the letter R.
Again it may be worth contacting.
Lloyds registers were issued for all master Mariners.

HI   Mike,    thanks for getting back to me,   Re;MSN,  will wait untill i hear from you regarding the move, hope all goes well .    I will try again to access Maritime Museum in London,  for  Robert Ramsey. who is my great grandfather on my mothers side,      I have had better luck with my own Pedigree, who originaly hail from Yorkshire ,  and Westmorland in England , and back to 1770's
In the meantime my family Tree is growing.
