Hi Mike, no pun intended , but that is definitly the wrong tree for Sophia. Sophia Ramsey, the daughter of Robert and Fanny Ramsey, was born in 1877 in Ireland. !! ( info i found on the 1881 england census and 1891census) . the Ramsey's, had only one child. This info was also passed down to me by my mothers sister, my aunt Frances, quite a few years ago .
Mike I have to quit now but will finish on next thread. Bill

Hi Mike, Bill Back , Sophia Ramsey married to Henry James Carefull , 2nd quarter 1893,West Derby , Liverpool ,Lanc's.
Henry and Sophia Carefull had 2 daughters, Frances , born 1895, and Elsie Robina born 1896 on the 23rd of May. I have a copy of Elsie's birth certificate as she is my mother. I also have a copy of Elsie's Marriage certificate to my father, July 20th 1919, which show's both grandfather's names and includes Henry James Carefull, Chief Steward Merchant Services,as his profession , and who was the husband of Sophia Carefull Nee Ramsey.
Mike I think i have enough proof there as to where Sophia Ramsey ended, as a matter of fact ,she lost her husband about 1919 and remarried to a mr Moran whom' im still trying to find out about. I know they were together in about 1943 as i went to visit her and she lived on Walnut st, Downtown Liverpool.
Mike Happy hunting, BILL |

Hi Bill I checked out the 1871 census on Ancestry and found the record you mention. As you say, the original is torn. But from what it says it looks to me as though James Stevenson was the Master of the vessel, and that John Skemming and Robert Ramsey were Officers. It would not allow me to view either the previous page or the next page. However, we do have some of the other names of those on the ship (below).
