Hello everyone.....I am trying to find some background on Ellen RYAN.
What I have:-
Ellen married James STEWART in ? Co.Clare.
Ellens first son Edward STEWART was born abt.1844 in Co.Clare.
Five other children were also born in Clare......
Ellen was listed as being 38yrs on passenger list on "Flying Cloud" 1862 to Australia.
She died 19 June 1894 and is buried at Dalby,Queensland.....she did have a headstone but it has been damaged and is un-readable.  No parents listed on her MI.

Any information however small will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Val.

Hi Val welcome Back,Firstly I am Checking the Griffiths Listings of the Name Stewart As i knew there would not be Many.
These i feel are the areas we need to work on,There are two James Listed

Stewart Edmund Ballybroghan Ogonnelloe Clare
Stewart Dominick Rahena More Ogonnelloe Clare
Stewart Edmund Ballylaghnan Ogonnelloe Clare
Stewart Edmund Rahena More Ogonnelloe Clare
Stewart James Ballybroghan Ogonnelloe Clare ......................
Stewart Dominick Ballybroghan Ogonnelloe Clare
Stewart John Cappagh Kilrush Clare
Stewart Edmond Caherhurley Kilnoe Clare
Stewart Edmond Coolready Kilnoe Clare
Stewart Edmond, Jr. Ballydonaghan Kilnoe Clare
Stewart James Caherhurley Kilnoe Clare ..........................
Stewart Edmond Ballydonaghan Kilnoe Clare
Griffith Registrations were 1848 to 1868 ,these James Stewarts Both fit in the Time Frame.I  Think Possibly they were From Scotland.Would need to check Further,But they would have been Land Owners
Will try and Link any To ryan

Mike....thank you for your reply.
You have already done some research for me re Edward STEWART..see (S)......also Peter sent me some information.....would you like me to forward this to you ? Your brain would absorb it better than mine , I think !!
Edward was father of James......
The STEWART family did come from Scotland .....don`t know exactly when but am told it could have been as early as the STUART King era.Things became rather heated in Scotland at that time......

Thanks for taking the time.....
Regards,
Val.

Diocesan Office Secretary:
Bishop's House
Westbourne,
Ennis, Co Clare,
Ireland
Tel: 065-6828638
Fax: 065-6842538

Ms. Mary Brohan
Rev G. Kenny

Val My suggestion is to Ask Mrs Brohan As she is the Diocese Secretary,Explain in a polite Manner ,Where you are Living,And are unable to Find The Marriages and Births.Give them the Possible Towns For Registration
Ballybroughan and Kilnoe. Some may make a Small Charge usually about 5 euro.I have Once contacted this Diocese I offered to Send some Money.
But Mrs Brohan Said Thanks But no need .AS NO RECORD WAS FOUND.

Mrs Flyne there is a very nice Lady to.Address The Email To Reverand Father Kenny. He will then Pass it on to the Necessary Party.

Hopefully you will get a reply
