Rules
1. Having FUN is first and foremost our goal. We welcome serious role-playing, adventure, raunchiness, flirting, kinkiness and bondage. We do not condone or allow, unwanted or non-consensual physical or mental pain, or blood letting whether collared or not. Those last three will get your ass Banned and sent to Hell in a pair of Gasoline Shorts.
2. We have a NO KILL RULE. That means characters are not to be killed off. This is negotiable!
3. Feel free to post your dreams, fan-fics and stories on the Adventures board! Raunchy story lines between characters are equally acceptable! Be fore-warned Characters... you may get mentioned/used in a story. Could be interesting!
4. Rude things said or done by one character to another character DO NOT apply to the person portraying the character (OOC), and should not be taken personally. Hard one to abide by sometimes, but let's all try to play nice!
5. Foul language is acceptable, but to a certain level. Excessive cussing will get your ass a public warning and repeats will get your ass banned. (See Rule #1 for punishment.)
6. If you're going to post sexy art in the photo albums, please don't put any on the cover. Save the juicy bits for the inside of the album! Might get drool spilled on it!
7. It is not necessary nor required to reveal anything about yourself out of character. Like wise, nobody needs to know who portrays each character.
8. The Rules will be changed or added to as needed. [ If you have a problem contact gold
about the rules or brown]
9. Do not attempt to anger an owner or a host.
10.All are welcome as long as you play by the rules.
11. no sex in the main room please.
14. Speed fighting is allowed here but if your fighting styles clash you must do one or the other. If you can not decide use TB. |

Character Submission
We here at STHO need to look over and approve {or deny} your character sheet. Just for fairness sake, your character will be approved according to the day of its submission, pending circumstances beyond the ST's control. To see exactly what the ST's look at when going over your character submission, click HERE.
Now, as of June 03, 2004 there are only a certain number of allowed characters in the game. These numbers shall expand as the number of players expands in the game. Each area below will show the numbers available for each genra. Questions pertaining to this should be directed HERE.

Backstories and your Character
When submitting a CS make sure to Post it to the Message Board in the Proper Location: HERE. STHO requires that ALL Garou/Shifters and Kin Characters be submitted with a BASIC history* and Character picture. ALL Vampire and Ghouls must have an Extended History and Character picture.
There are no exceptions to this rule.
The ST's will not understand where some of the skills/disciplines/merrits/backgrounds ETC. have come from without some kind of history or description. (*GAROU/SHIFTERS: *With a Character picture and EXTENDED History we grant an additional 10 freebie points, these freebie points are to be spent only in: Secondary Abilities, Backgrounds, Willpower, Rage, Gnosis.)
If you need help finding Secondaries to Flesh out your character, ask an ST.
(Example: Jane Submits an elder Sabbat, She can not have a Rank 4 Garou then, She must begin as a rank 1, and she can only play one Rank 1 Bastet as well, her Last character has to be a Kinfolk/Ghoul/Human.) _____________________________________________________
Limited Characters
Each Player is limited to 4 Characters in each genra (I:E: 4 VtM characters and 4 WtA characters) . Each Player is allowed only 1 High Ranking Elder Character and/or 1 High Ranking from any Garou/Shifter Clan, Tribe, Changing Breed, Tradition. A Players 4th character must be Ghoul, Mortal or Kinfolk.

OOC To IC
We all know that OOC information should not be passed onto your character IC, we will kick players out for this.(I:E: Jane learns that Dick is playing a Nagah. Her character does not know that Dick's character is a Nagah)
Also if one character knows particular information, it does not mean a players other character's know as well, nor can that character tell their other character(s) that info. (I:E: Jane's Kinfolk learns that the Silent Striders are going to launch an attack on her Elder Ravanos. She cannot have her Ravanos know this info nor can she have her kinfolk go and tell the Ravanos. She must pass the info onto another character, not played by her, and hope they give it to her Ravanos in time.)

Dead Characters
Characters can 'die' within this setting from time to time. When a character dies, a player is welcome to create a new character. Initally the new character is not allowed a High Rank Status or Elder Status. This is to allow others to have the opportunity to play in that particular field as the 'deceased' character had.

Disagreement
In the outside world, the OOC world as it is generally called, we are all human. It is human nature to make mistakes. Even your ST's are human, dispite popular belief. Knowing this, we hope that you would show the same common sense and courtsey to our ST's as you would to say... your boss at work, a teacher at school, a friend in real life. If, for some reason, you feel that the ST has made a decision in error, be a good sport and do -not- argue with them. For that moment in time, they are, for all intense and purposes, GOD, or close to it really. There is a time and a place to bring up discrepencies reguarding a decision that an ST has made. We don't always agree on things, see eye to eye on subjects. That is perfectly fine here at STHO. What we are asking you to do, more or less, is to be decent about it. Don't get angry. Don't fuss and pitch a hissy fit. This is, after all, a game that is ment to be fun and enjoyable.
If you have a situation in which you disagree with an ST's decision, click here. Be sure to include your characters name, the day and time of the decision or incedent, and a description, in your own words and terms, of what happened and what it is you disagree with. Also, be sure to list who the ST was that you are having this disagreement with. One of our MST's (Main Story Tellers) will get a hold of this information and help get to the root of the issue so that it may be resolved and we can all go back to doing what we came here to do in the first place. It has a modern horror setting and as such is not suitable for all audiences. The roleplay may contain things of a mature nature, including graphic violence, grotesque subject matters, intense sexual situations, and many other things that could be considered unsuitable for those under the age of 18.
