It almost seemed impossible that Narron was ever going to find another pack. Even though he had been traveling for a while now, he had only come across small little groups of other animals. He shook his head in frustration and huffed quietly. He plopped himself down in chagrin and rolled half way to one side. His tail curled up around his hind legs and put both paws over his muzzle. He couldn't stand it. It was driving him insane that he was being by himself. He needed someone to look up to, to be like, to mimic. Narron turned in a position that wasn't so bothering. Rolling, he turned on his back side and squirmed in the leaves. A grumbling groan of displeasure was emitted and he rolled in the leaves for a few seconds, until he jumped up, debris was across his pelt and he took a wild shake and spread himself from the bother. Narron shifted his weight and he took a few scampering step forward and wiggled among the trees playfully. It had been so long since he had another wolven to play with him that it almost bothered him. No so much anymore. He had his moments when he couldn't take it, but he quickly grew out of it. He unhooked his jowls and slapped a magenta tongue across his furry muzzle. He paused, and then stride, sliding his fur up against a rough barked tree. A soft, pleasing growl slipped through his muzzle and he swung his tail around it, almost in a feline manner. He quickly pulled away, and dipped his for body and pushing himself across the soil and dead leaves. By this time, the young wolven had gone far enough from his personal destination to grab a vague scent of another canine; whether or not it had been a wolven or just a wild dog. His shoulders jerked and rolled in sockets as he stepped forward. His head was risen, ears erect upon his head with his nose out, tail curled over his spine. Narron's leathery nostrils quivered silently and he just stepped forward. Leaving his mark on a few trees, here and there when he smelt distant territory markings. The wolven dipped his head, and he felt the strong scent. He shivered in happiness, overwhelming joy that there was another canine creature close by. A chill ran through his entire body and he shook his coat out. He pulled his head up and curved his charred lips in a pleasuring howl. Indicating the pleasure, and hopefulness. -- Narron Wyche

Strolling freely through the wild grass that grew throughout the territory, she caught the sent of a wolf that was strange to her. –It must be the new wolves that howled to the pack earlier- she thought. She continued her journey through the lands to allow her to get acquainted with the new territory. Large snow-white paws trotted across the land, feathery silver fur blew lightly as the wolfess made her way around. The wind brought again the scent of the foreign wolf. She froze and thought for a while. The howl of the new wolf sounded as if there was not one, but two wolves; the scent of this one was different. She came to a site, far from what she was used to and sat down. As the darkness begun to creep up on the world, she heard the howl that confirmed that this was a different wolf. She looked towards the den, to where the alpha female nested. The two males were occupied with the two other wolves. Naturally, the alpha female would be the one to greet this one. She perked up, ears turning slowly from left to right and her eyes shifted from the den to the new male. She wouldn't be the one to greet him; she was too new here herself.
She looked up to a sky full of stars and most importantly, the large moon that hung in the darkness, exposing only half of its whole. She smiled as the sense of being loved took over her. She didn't know why this emotion had suddenly came to her, but she simply allowed this feeling to enter her heart. Though she still felt out of place with this new pack, some part of her was filled. That loneliness that every lone wolf had to endure was no longer with her. She wagged her tail as her thoughts began to trail off to the new wolves. She wondered who were they, how they looked like and what their personalities might be. Maybe after all these years alone, she was just love sick. She flattened her ears when she thought of how this might be true. She looked up again and dismissed these depressing thoughts. She didn't need to think like this anymore; she didn't need to act like a lone wolf any longer. She was a part of a pack now and her future will be much different from the past. Maybe soon she would find a mate…maybe. |

Naka paused in her tracks, lifting her muzzle to tilt skywards as a strange unknown scent filled her thick nostrils.
Gruffing softly, she shifted once more, pivoting within the clouded darkness, to weave amongst the broken shadowy figures of the forest, leading her to the male.
Lifting her head and tail, she gruffed softly once more, taking a few graceful strides forward, then pausing before him, her posture held high and proud. Observing the male a few moments, she then began to speak, her voice gentle, non-threatening. "My name is Naka, Alpha female of the SilentShadows, Who are you? and what is your business here?" she asked, before once more falling silent, awaiting a reply. |
