HOT CRANAPPLE CIDER 1 qt. apple cider 3 c. cranberry juice 2 tbsps. brown sugar 2 (3") sticks cinnamon 1/2 tsp. whole cloves Mix all ingredients in a 2 & 1/2 quart glass bowl. Microwave uncovered until hot (10 to 12 minutes). Remove spices. Makes 12 servings. | |

Coffee Cream Punch----Jan 6 Tbsp. Coffee 1 1/2 Pints Ice Cream Ground Nutmeg 4 Cups Water Combine coffee and 4 cups water in a 1 1/2 qt. casserole. Cook on HIGH for 5 to 6 minutes, or until piping hot. Meantime, place ice cream in a 3 qt. bowl. Pour hot coffee over the ice cream, stir until melted. Ladle into cups and sprinkle with nutmeg. |

MICROWAVE TEA 4 c. water 8 sm. tea bags or 2 qt. size bags In large microwave-proof bowl, combine the above and place in microwave for 8 minutes on high, turning bowl 1/2 turn at 4 minutes time. Remove from oven. Remove tea bags and add sugar to taste (same as regular tea). Put in one gallon container and add warm water. Makes one gallon. |

Hot Egg Nog----Jolene 1 quart milk 4 egg yolks 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. vanilla Place milk in 2 quart casserole. Heat on full power for 9-11 minutes or till heated through (190°), stirring halfway through. Mix egg yolks, sugar and spices together in a bowl. Stir one cup of hot milk into egg mixture. Beat mixture back into milk. Heat on full power for 2-3 minutes or till heated through, stirring halfway through. Stir in vanilla. Can be served hot or cold. |

Honey Spiced Tea 6 c Water 6 oz Thawed frozen lemonade 1/2 c Honey 3 Inches cinnamon sticks; (in total) 3 Sprigs mint 4 ts Bags 6 Lemon slices; (6 to 8) In 3 quart deep casserole combine water, lemonade and honey. Tie cinnamon sticks and mint in cheesecloth. Add to mixture. Cover and microwave at High for 15 to 16 minutes or until boiling. Stir. Cover and microwave at Medium low (30%) for 10 minutes to blend flavors. Stir. Add tea bags. Cover. Let stand for 3 to 4 minutes to steep tea. Discard spice bag and tea bags. Serve in mugs with lemon slices. Serves 6. |

STRAWBERRY LIQUEURS 2 lbs. frozen strawberries 1 c. sugar 3 whole cloves 3 cinnamon sticks 2 c. vodka
In large microwave bowl add strawberries with juice, sugar, cloves, cinnamon sticks (broken). Heat power level medium high 10 minutes, until sugar is dissolved, stirring once. Continue cooking on warm for 30 minutes, stirring twice. Add vodka, cover and let stand 3 to 4 days. Strain before serving or pour in bottles. Refrigerate. | |

BUTTERBEER Ingredients 1 cup (8 oz) club soda or cream soda ½ cup (4 oz) butterscotch syrup (ice cream topping) ½ tablespoon butter
Directions:
Step 1: Measure butterscotch and butter into a 2 cup (16 oz) glass. Microwave on high for 1 to 1½ minutes, or until syrup is bubbly and butter is completely incorporated.
Step 2: Stir and cool for 30 seconds, then slowly mix in club soda. Mixture will fizz quite a bit.
Step 3: Serve in two coffee mugs or small glasses
