Hey Gang,,
With the winter past us now.. Are we ready for the Summer? I know Im not...
This board is very slow.. Just want us to get moving again..

Me and my hubby went out last saturday night and bought a recumbent bike.. Its so awesome.. Has 18 programs.. Shows the heart rate and everything.. It was a good price but you know sometimes you just have to.. If thats what it takes..

So we do go out and bike ride on our day off.. But when I get home now and to tired to go out I jump on that.. I am working on increasing the time and distance little more everyday...

So come out and tell us what you have been up to....

Hugs,
Terry

Hey Terry,

Glad to see a couple of people are around!!! :) Things are going great here with diet and exercise. I'm dropping a lb or two every week or 10 days...about 11-12 lbs in all. Mostly just working out and eating healthy...cheating when I feel like it but that's really rare now that I've gone back to "no meat". I've also cut Trans-fats out of my diet...definately NOT a necessary item in my food!!! :(

Justin (hubby) left today to go back to his parents home. We're dealing with a lot of stuff right now and just as it was getting better I found some stuff online that he had wrote to another girl.....not good. Aparently, he says that he didn't write it and that someone else did on his computer, which could have easily happened...anyways, it's really not a good thing and I'm really upset...so I need time to figure out WHAT the heck I believe...

So stress levels are high so I'm just focusing on what i can do right now...eat right, exercise, stay AWAY from the Oreos...lol.

Terry, I love to bike too so I know where you're coming from. Sometimes the thought of going outdoors and biking is just NOT happening, but having a stationary bike is GREAT! I'm sure you're gunna do great!

Yvonne, eating healthy is always a major key. It's a struggle but you're a tough cookie and you're going to pull through that plateau! The 200lb mark is awesome to break...definate happy dance time! :)

-Sammy

Hi I am new to this group thought I would check in and I am going to look around the group. I need to loose 100 pounds Dr's orders so her I am on my weight loss journey. I am going to do it on my own and not with WW meetings as I have tried them before and  my leader only talked about her kids so I stopped going. I know I can do this and I will.

Hi Nan, Welcome and best wishes on your journey.

It's a shame about that WW leader. I have also been unhappy with some WW people, but my last try I had a wonderful leader. I went away encouraged every time she spoke.

Glad you joined us! :O))

I am still around.  The darn misquitos are bad this year in our area.  The city ditch runs threw our back yard and always has standing water.  One bit me on the tip of the nose while I was working in the garden this weekend, even though I had sprayed a whole can of OFF on me!  The heat and bugs have kind of put an end to my daily walks with the dogs and kids...  So I have decided to move my tredmil to right in front of the AC, at least I will stay cool while walking on it.

Just saying Hi to all you young women!!
My Spring so far has been a  "bust" .  Had knee replacement scheduled twice but had to postpone due to colitis.  Trying to get that under control now. Hey, never get OLD - I am falling apart!  LOL
My husband finished chemo and radiation for lung cancer and is doing well but his ct scan checkup is next week so praying for good news!!
Enjoy the summer everyone and try to eat healthy and exercise!!

I'm here! Food has been going pretty well. Of course, who wants to eat with this heat? It's been 100" and very, very humid since Saturday. Ugh! I am finishing my second week of biking to work. I take a complete change of clothing with me (underthings included) in the mornings - which really aren't too bad. However, biking home at 4:00-5:00 along a major road in 100" temperatures is not fun. I go directly into the cool, dark basement when I get home.
Hope I loose more weight doing this.

Pam

It's suppose to be another hot one today. Guess I'll get to more cleaning before heading out in the heat. Drink plenty of water. And have a great Day.

Hi! I'm new to the group! I hail from Canada!
I call myself FitNFree!
I'm on my way to getting into the best shape of my life - FIT!
I've recently been able to shed those last, pesky, most frustrating 20 lbs - FREE!!

I'm the smallest I've been since my 3 boys were born - oldest is 8, youngest is 3! I'm fitting into clothes that I could only dream about!! My self-confidence and self-esteem have grown while my inches have shrunk!!! Good trade off!!!

I still have some "problem" areas that I'd like to see toned and tightened; but that will come with maintaining the weight loss and exercise! I love using my elliptical and I am hopelessly, utterly addicted to Turbo Jam!!!

I'm glad to be part of the group and look forward to meeting new friends here!!

Hello to all!

I went for my first bike ride since I was little!! I tell you, my butt is rather sore from the seat!! But I truly felt like a kid again!! My son, 9, thought it was awesome!! I loved the feel of the wind in my face as I was going down a huge hill!!

I bought some more walk away the pounds tapes on ebay so I have been doing them. Also, I have to get back on the treadmill and prove to my husband that is WILL NOT turn into a close rack!!!!

I have been off the wagon for a few months now and want to get back on!! Any good tips for eating!!!

Cari
