I'm so sorry I had to go away; But we'll all be together again someday. Mommy, daddy, don't you cry; I never wanted to say goodby.
But they called me to the home up above; To live with my family and kitties I loved. Once again I chase that ball; On the floor and down the halls. I'm free from misery, free from pain; And I never see a drop of rain. The grass is green , the breese wispers by; The weather is perfect, at my home in the sky. So please mommy and daddy, don't you cry; Someday we'll be together, in the home in the sky. And once again, I'll be your best friend; So I'll say so long, and wait until then. 
I was born by a mother that didn't want me. They called me a stray. I was picked up by someone and I thought I had a home. In that home, I was thrown out a 2 story window by kids having fun. I was tossed between kids just like a ball. I was attacked by a big dog. Didn't think I'd survive, but somehow I did. I had food and water and a Potty pan, if I could get to it when the kids weren't playing. One day a stranger came to visit the family. I didn't dare to come out of hiding, but I did show myself. This stranger saw me. I remember she asked the family what they were doing with that kitten. One of the Kids said that they loved to play with me and her older brother dropped me out a window, just to see what would happen. But it was all fun. This stranger told the family that she was going to take me. She tried to pick me up but I feared. Somehow she got me in her car. She took me to a new place, and I remember her saying.. "Mom, Dad you have to give this kitten a home." I was 4 Mo. old. Well I went and hid behind their couch and would not come out. I saw that they had another big kittie and a DOG! After a while I was hungry and I wondered if there was any food. I peeked out and saw food and water and a potty pan on their floor.When no one was looking, I had my fill. Then I went into hiding again. Later I wanted some more and I really needed that potty pan. But it had moved to the other side of the living room. Well this kept happening until I was in the Laundry room where it should be. I soon got use to the new soundings and even lost my fear of the big dog and cat. Soon, I was chasing balls on the floor and down the halls! Yes, I Finally had a home! Mommie and daddy took me to the doctors to keep me healthy. I was happy. But something happen. I started to pee on the floor and I'd poop in the potty, but not cover it and didn't always clean myself. I had big lumps on me and mommie and daddy took me to the doctors. The doctor said it was cancer and there wasn't anything they could do. I was 8 yrs old. They took me home and gave me a lot of love. Then it came to the point, that I couldn't control anything. Now I was even pooping on the floor. Mommie went with me as well as my human brother, to the doctors. They said it's about time, for me to go to Rainbow Bridge. I knew, I really knew! I'm so sorry to leave my mommie and daddy. 漏Nancy Scott 2003
