My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
(John 10:27). We are so skeptical. We say we believe in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and we believe that there is a spiritual world that surrounds us that is very real. We believe that when we pray God hears our prayers. Yet when God performs a great miracle, or works through someone in a way we do not expect, not only do we disregard it but also criticize it. We pray and wait with anticipation to see God’s hand move, and when He does we become so blinded by our own opinions and expectations that we miss it. God is not bound by our traditions, but we are. When we pray for revival, miracles, healing, marriages, families, our country and the world, we should be anticipating and watching to see our prayers answered. We don’t dictate to God when and how we simply anticipate and embrace it. When we witness a miracle large or small we need to praise and thank Him! It’s time for us to quit assuming we know how the answers to our prayers should come and put aside our skepticism, criticism, and fears, and watch Him perform beautiful wonders right before our eyes. We are His sheep, we know His voice, and we will not follow another. God will bear witness to His own truth, and affirm it in our hearts.
Lord let your Spirit rain down on us today, cleansing our hearts, and setting us free from our traditions that keep us bound. Refresh our souls with your Spirit. We anticipate the answers to all of our prayers, and we are waiting with great expectation, with our eyes and hearts open. We are listening for the sound of your sweet voice and will follow where you lead us. Make our hearts ready to receive all that you desire to give. We praise Your Holy Name and thank You for all that Your for the great things that You do! In Jesus name we ask and believe. Amen.
