There's loads of places here too Jen but if it's not wireless you ultimately have to go through eircom...  I've not received a reply from utvnet about my conspiracy theory...

Wireless broadband didn'w work either, they wanted me to buy their other product but I couldn't afford it!

I rang eircom today, I spoke to our company account manager and he has assured me my broad band is ordered today...  Today?  I wanted to kick his fucking heart out..  we'll see....  I don't want their service but I can't get it from anyone else...

It was trying esat bt that got me into trouble in the first place Grey...  I had to cancel eircom before I could sign up to esat  but it is eircom that owns my line and it was then that they start saying my line was failing...

Gary's brother is vice president of AOL customer services in Europe and even he couldn't do anything for me...  They don't do broad band in Ireland...

Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that Noeleen, no wonder you're spitting feathers, looks like eircom is a bit like our BT when it comes to monopolising, I take it that Esat wouldn't even consider the thought of installing you a new line without you leaving eircom then? Have you been back to Esat to tell them about the problems? (I'm sure you've probably been down that route though).

You could always try whatever your equivilent is of OFTEL (the complaints commission people) or failing that, I would suggest a bit of publicity in your local paper may get you some result.................although you'd probably be cut off altogether  Have you tried the BBC's Watchdog programme? they accepts email problems and advise you by return?  Just a thought

Sorry don't know what else to suggest

They don't install lines, you still use your eircom line, therein lies the problem...  If I don't get my broadband in 20 working days I will be on to who ever it is I complain to, the name escapes me right now!
