On Saturday a knock came to the door, I answered to find Marita (10) Kaitlyn (6) and their older brother, dunno his name so lets call him gobshite for the sake of this message. He starts in at me about my girls calling Marita names. There's Marita, fucking dried eyed standing at my door lapping this up. Not only that but we had an audience of 4 girls, two of Sorcha's friends and 2 Marita's friends.

Right I thought. I can play this one way or the other, I can tell him to fuck off away from my door and get himself a fucking life or I can take it on the chin. I chose to take it on the chin. I didn't think it would do any good argueing with gobshite cause that is clearly what he came down to do. He proceeds to tell me that they were calling Marita King Kong...  Now not only my two girls, but two others and of course Ciaran, the little bollix from across the road giving them fucking instructions.

What fucking annoyed me was
1 My girls involved in name calling
2 The fucking cheek of the fucker to bring the two dried eyed, supposedly fucking very upset kids to my door and one of them wasn't even called anything
3 He tells me his mother is very upset up in the house and the truth of the matter is that the mother is probably out cause she's never fucking well in to mind those kids
4 That he didn't knock on anybody else's door
5 That he fucking well knocked in the first place when the girls will be friends again by lunch time today is school
6 That he neglected to tell me that Marita was calling my girls sluts
7 That I got annoyed in the first place!

I grounded the girls for the day for name calling but I couldn't even come on here on Saturday I was that fucking bothered by the whole thing.

Oooh scarey post I almost closed it again for fear of saying the wrong thing ...your anger is leaping of the page at me  now how shall I reply  so's you don't chew my face off and spit it on the pavement  kids fall in and out all the time as you've rightly pointed out name calling is all part of growing up I suppose we all did it  Don't let it get to you hun  we know you in here !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and know how your raising your kids  We've all read your posts , we know they're great girls don't we ladies? I wouldn't have grounded them and given gobshite the satisfaction. Your at a low ebb and your run down  that's why it got to you . My best advice to you ... water of a ducks back, let it go. Get all your kids out playing in your garden having a great time and don't let them other fookers in

( Big wet slobbery one)

You're right, I did completely over react and the punishment did not fit the crime. I shall get the girls to chant Beast at her and then give them lollypops...

Name calling.  Is there anything that can seem so small, yet hurt big time.
I remember Kayleigh coming home crying because the boys at school called her Kay-pee.
I remember 3 days later being called by the school because she called him a little b@st@rd the next time.
Just ride it out.  ANd personally I would ream out the mother that her gobshite better not come to your door again.  But that is just me

I totally agree with Day.
And - kids are kids - where was the Mum? - children like a bit'o'drama - he knocked on your door because he knew he could, as you wouldn't slap him - they'll probably be mostly friends again soon and he only had heard one side of the story and tried to be "the manly hero".
Your children are lucky enough to have you as their Mum to guide them - and "They'll be roight"
