How concerned are you about salt? Seems we're having too much in our diets  There's an ongoing major campaign at the moment to raise our awareness of the harmful effects, the fact they're using a slug chasing a lady round the car park its beyond me

It's not only what we're adding, but hidden salts to make the food we eat taste better. The U.K has some of the highest rates of hidden salts!   manufacturers say we prefer more than our european and American counterparts, and any change would have to be introduced gradually.

I have tried some of the lower sodium ones, after one of the kids brought home a leaflet from school, and was'nt impressed... I being a smoker use a lot of salt
and it's worrying. What do you think?

I am with you day!!

I refuse to add any salt to my cooking, except chippies....obviously!!! Who in there right mind could eat chips without salt and vinegar!!  But i refuse the kids to add salt to their meals, and i have never done so any ways!!

If we could all go back to growing and baking alot of our own foods, we would not have this problem, or alot of the child behavioural problems we are experiencing in the last decade or so!!!  Additives and packaging is not good for us at all!!!!

Right can i get off my soap box now please miss??  And go look for my handsome young farmer, i can move onto his farm and live off the land!!!!!!
he he he he he he he he
Cos i am sure my window boxes will never sustain enough vegetable matter to keep my son going for a day, let alone the rest of his life at home!!!!

Oh, sod that!  I slart it on everything...lol.  If we listened to the 'professionals' about what we should and shouldn't eat, we'd be surviving on a diet of bottled water & multi vitamins.   Eat what you want, drink what you want, enjoy!   LOL!  I'll be dead by the time I'm 40!
