Did you still give to your local charities during the tsunami disaster?

We are a bit heartless.  I give to the local women's shelters, the sick kids hospital, and cancer society.  With that taking up our charity dollars, and knowing how strapped they would be with the tsunami aid, I gave double to them, and nothing for tsunami.  I am a believer in charity begins at home.

Well it got to the stage that the main charities over here were saying that they had enough money for the tsunami disaster. I would like to think that they are sensible with this money and will not dedicate all the money to this disaster if they feel they can use it elsewhere. I sponsored a few kids for stuff they were doing, and gave some money to my kids for the cake sale and the like they had in the school, but by and large I didn't contribute directly to the appeal. I know that one of the charities I donate to works both at home and abroad! I'm happy enough to share!!!

I did both but I didn't donate a huge amount to the Tsunami appeal.
