I'm talking about things like Trisha and Jerry Springer type shows here.
Would you air your dirty laundry in public this way? Would you feel embaressed to be judged by an audience? Would you like everyone to know that your married to an asshole or indeed that you are an asshole /doing drugs/an alcholic/thief/slag/cross dresser etc???
Do you think these programes serve any real purpose other than cheap questionable entertainment?

I sure as hell wouldnt embaress not only myself but my friends and family in this way  would you?

Requested to go on Jerry Springer that time I found Gary in bed with a packet of crisps and half a melon and he wasn't eating them either... They turned down my request on the basis that Gary refused to demonstrate what he was doing infront of a live audience...

We auditioned for Ricky Lake. Once again Gary let us down when he failed miserably with his hand - hip co-ordination trying to do the 'Go Ricky' thaaaang...

Lol Noeleen  daytime talkshows, can't bear to watch some poor unfortunate victim, paraded in front of studio audience to bear everything warts and all, in the name of entertainment.  Although saying that, it's ratings that count, and they're certainly pulling them in, so someone out there likes them  and they'll be on our tellys for a while to come

I would never go on one of these shows, but do occasionally watch them for the laugh!

I actually watched Jeremy Kyle this morning and there were 2 women fighting over 1 bloke, the story was, 1 woman was married to him going thru divorce, cos he cheated on her with the other woman, who he's now engaged to!, and he's now cheating on the fiancee with the 'ex' wife, it wouldn't have been so bad, but both women were at least a size 20 - 24, though both were quite attractive, and he was a short, skinny, ugly runt with glasses and crooked buck teeth!

No, I couldn't go on one of those type of shows either.  I was ill one day a few weeks ago and saw that Jeremy Kyle programme - it was one of those programmes that I just had to watch and then thought afterwards "why the hell did I watch that crap".
I like Judge Judy
