I was doing some housework this week , sorting through cupboards - came across an old Collins dictionary/encylopedia and an old Pears book and also a Road Map. They're going back to a charity shop, from whence they were bought, many years ago. Why? Well because, any information that they've got in them, I can simply Google on the internet, or Multimap, if I need a road map. Is it all too easy to Google (and possibly come up with the wrong information, as well as the right information). How times have changed - my Dad used to buy the Sunday paper, just so I could do the General Knowledge Crossword - I won a £10 book voucher once - having to look through books, go to the library or ask people for the answers. |

I know what you mean. I threw away most of my recipe books recently cos I thought if I want to try something new I'll look online. I remember having a full set of encyclopedias at home when I was little and would spend hours looking through them doing my homework. Don't think kids could be bothered with that these days. It's all too easy. They're lucky! |

I know what you mean Steph, I needed a phone number the other day, and as I'd recycled the new phone book, due to lack of space to keep the damn thing, I went right to Bt.com and had it in minutes. As for recipes, I'm staying well out of this one |

Coddle... Sausages, rashers, potatoes, onions, water, pepper. Shove the whole lot into a pot and boil for an hour or 3.... |
