The best play ... two actually...

Years ago I went to see Borstal Boy with Niall Tobin playing the older Brendan Behan... there were naked men on stage and everything...  Very entertaining!

Beauty and the Beast... the musical one... it just blew me away... I brought Sorcha and Aoife and my niece Kaitlyn. Poor Aoife had a temperature and slept through most of it. I bet they would appreciate it more now, they were only about 4/5 at the time.

The worst play...

Salome... FFS... The adaptation was 20 dress and everyone walked in slow motion. I actually fell asleep watching it...

Oh yea... I forgot to say... at the end of Borstal boy the young Brendan Behan is making this speech about how great it is to be on the boat back to Ireland and all the sights he can see from the boat. It goes on for ages about how he can see Dun Laoghaire, Howth Head etc. It's a real empassioned speech.

Then Niall Tobin takes a step forward and says...

Ya can in your bollix...

What a great way to end a play!

I've loads of best concerts... here are just a few...

David Bowie in Slane...  I think it was about '83 '84..  I was never a huge Bowie fan but it was my first time at a large outdoor concert. A gang of us went that day, the weather was super, the athmosphere was fantastic. We went down to the front for a bit and the body heat...  The show was great but I hardly knew any of his songs.

Simply Red in the Point...  I was 5 months pregnant on Sorcha when I went to this concert. Mick Hucknall was sex on legs and I was willing to give it all up for a furk...

Joe Jackson in Vicar Street... Myself, my sister Carol and Hazel went to this one. All we were short of doing was throwing our knickers up on stage...  The crowd were our age and absolutely went mad that night, dancing and singing. It was just brilliant...  We got high on the athmosphere I tell ya...  Seriously, we hardly had a drink but the electricity in the room just seemed to be absorbed into the blood stream and made ya high...

The worst...

Nora Jones in the Point. She was great, she is such a great singer but there is more athmosphere at a funeral. The sound wasn't great and the band were poor. We left before the end. I was disappointed cause Gary bought me the tickets and he came along so he was doubly disappointed that I didn't enjoy it...

The best play I ever saw was My Fair Lady. Its one of my fave films and I was so glad to see it on the stage. One scene took my breath away the one where they all are stood stock still and all dressed in black and white for Ascot

I cant think of a worse one.

My best was when Kev whisked me off for a midnight picnic at the beach, he built a campfire and had packed a picnic with champagne and strawberries, and he presented me with flowers and chocalates! Then we made out in the sand dunes, under the stars for hours.

The worst was when i was kinda, sort a like seeing 2 guys  at the same time and i had just invited the best one home for a night of passion when number one turned up with some Advocado pears ?!?!?! He did not seem to get the message that I was busy and hovvered around trying to force feed me with advacado, while no 2 sat waiting for me in the lounge. Fineally got rid of number one. Then the next morning he arrived on the doorstep first thing, i answered the front door and gave him the "its not you its me speech" whilst trying to not let him see number 2's clothes strewn all the way up the stairs.

I've had loads of great dates but I'll pick my first date with Gary as the best. It was very casual, went to see a crappy band, had a few drinks, walked down Grafton Street holding hands... ahhhhhh...

My worst date was when I asked a bloke out. EVERYONE told me he really liked me. It's not like we were kids... I was 27...  So I asked him to the 'thing' in work and he seemed pleased and said yes immediately. The night went well, I had a good time with a gorgeous looking man on my arm. When it came to say good night you'd think he was being asked to kiss a fooking weekold dead fish...

The best and worst came in the same shopping spree....  I'd split up from my boyfriend of 4 years and needed a treat...

I bought this beautiful cotton hand knit jumper that I wore to the death. It could be dressed up or down and I loved it, wore it for at least 4 years non stop...

I bought a pair of trousers in Pennys last year for 12 euro... They look like linen trousers but are polyester. They are comfy and easy to wash... not so easy to iron though.

My worst buy was a skirt with the jumper... cost me a fookin fortune and I wore it once and never put it near my arse again, it was too short and I was forever pulling at it....
