Well, today my son and his girlfriend cleared their room and moved their things to their new house .  They went and got a fridge freezer and a washing machine from the sales.  The're spending a few days at her partents house, because they're wating for a new central heating pump (hubby's going to fix it).  Now there's just me and hubby left here.  I think it will seem quiet for a little while, but it will be nice to be able to get into the bathroom when I want.  I've got plans to do the 2 living rooms up, but not sure what to do with them yet though - will have to talk to hubby.  They're house is about 15 miles away, so they're not too far.  The bedroom looks terrible empty .

Aww Steph, it must be strange but I'm with Gail, try and think of the positives, like being able to please yourself and do exactly what you want in your own home. I cant imagine what I'm going to feel like saying that, when my turn comes. Hugs & good luck to them in their new home.

Aww, that must feel very strange, but as you say, they're not far away!  I hope they are very happy in their new home.

Oh steph it's that empty nest syndrome we all can't wait for them to go, when it comes it's awfull my last one went in April to live in Cork iv still got my daughter just on the other side of town 5 mins away so i never miss her it's like she never went although it's 18mths now she still comes in when im not in raids my cupboards the fridge and uses my tumbledryer as well, she has also been known to leave a basket of washing for me to load in dryer and then to ring her when ready to collect as she is to busy having a life lol her best trick to date is to ring just before setting off from work to see whats for tea if she likes what we are cooking she comes round before going home but then takes a doggie bag for her partner for when he comes in at 10pm will i ever learn   ....stressy
