Does anyone no anything about dogs I have a 7month old shizu pup she is scratching madly ,she doesnt have fleas.Her hair seems to be coming out in clumps.Anyone with any knowlege please help thanks.

Ooooh...not got a clue mate.  It could really be anything, the most common thing is mange, isn't it?  They can pick it up from other dogs while out walking if I remember rightly.  I'm probably totally wrong though...lol.  Have you had her to the vets?

I would get the dog 2 the vets m8 - it mayb mange - they can b born with it or can catch it from other dogs - only know this cos the dog i rescued had it and all her hair had fallen out. It may just b a skin infection or allergic reaction to somethin - but ur best bet is 2 get the pup 2 the vets - they can do a skin scrape and find out exactly wot it is for u.

well took sophie to vets £28 later we have poss an allergy.The hair coming out he reckons she could be shedding her puppy fur.Not mange tho thankgoodness

hi
i have 2 dogs there great but can coast loads of money i have pet insurance it helps if the worse happens both my dogs are just a year but we found out 2 months ago one has a bad hip and may need to be refered to some where eles(sorry if spelling wrong) it could coast as up to 3 grand if she needs an op .so get the insurance just to be safe ,they are worth it.hope all gets better.molly

Hi Scrumpy:) I see animals everyday with my inhome nail cutting service and it sounds like she has a vitamin deffiancy and should be seen by a vet as soon as you can, she could get really ill if you don't catch what it is if left un treated, take care, loree:):)
