My 8 yr old son asked me a question which i could not really answer. The question was " who invented sex".After trying to compose myself (from giggling) i told him i would have to get back to him with the answer.Any suggestions on what i could tell him would would be very helpful.

Um........it depends on how you look at it yourself!
You could go down the adam and eve route.....and say that thats how babies are made.
Or you could just say that it's something that people have discovered for themselves.......found they liked it and leave it at that.
Just give him enough information appropriate to his age. No point in lying cos they will find out!

Or you could tell him that it wasn't "invented" and that it's a natural thing that people and animals all do, just like blinking or breathing (just not as often........lol).  That's what I tell my kids anyway.  Good luck............don't you just love those exploratory questions???
