We now have a taste of years to come
Machines replace humans
So hard this for some.
No friendly voice at the end of the phone
Just follow these steps
It makes me bemoan.
Answer machines,huge shopping malls
No corner store,a chat with your pals
Family life around the TV
No conversation
Just meals on their knee.
Technology rampant oh so quick
Yet people wait years
To get a new hip.
Marriage now fading fast
Just call them your partner
It just may not last.
The future it frightens
Us one and us all
Yet remain optimistic
However so small.
