Does anyone know if the nutritional value of frozen fruit is as good as fresh? The only downfall of living in Alaska is getting fresh fruits and veggies year round. Today I went to the grocery store and they were compelely out of lettuce! It happens all the time, the produce isn't to great up here in the winter. We've been buying frozen fruit lately and making smoothies with them. Anyone know how frozen fruit rates? Thanks!!
Megan

I'd say yes.  Fresh is probably BEST but you are still going to get tons of nutrients and flavor out of frozen fruit.  This is way better than canned fruit for SURE!  Much more natural and it's not cooked/processed and over-sugared LOL

Same for veggies.

I am amazed at what you have to pay in Alaska for fresh fruits and veggies this time of year.  A friend of mine in Anchorage emailed me that she paid almost $12 for a few grapes she was so hungry for them!

I know, the prices are crazy up here. Grapes seem to be the worst, lol!
