I know about it, but was wondering if anyone in here is familiar with it:  what it is, what it does, what it's antagonists are.  The antagonists are commonly prescribed drugs and seriously deplete Co Q - 10, which is very vital & diminishes with age.

CoQ10 plays a key role in producing energy in the mitochondria, the part of a cell responsible for the production of energy in the form of ATP.

Without Vitamin Q, or a lesser amount in our cells, due to aging or chronic sickness, we get more and more lethargic. We litterally have no energy to do anything. It is imparitive for these mitochondria to do their job. I think, as we age, it is one of the first vits to go.

It also supports heart health and works against free radicals...  statins, beta blockers, drugs of this sort, I believe ( I should read that again to itemize! ) deplete Co Q - 10

It's supposed to be good for fibromyalgia & arthritis.

Yup.  I had them right.   C0 Q - 10 is vital... without adequate ammounts, we die.  Studies have shown that it improves Angina, arrhythmoas, high BP, cholesterol & energy issues.  Food sources are ...yuk!! ... organ meats.  Co Q - 10 can reduce the risk of congestive heart failure, so isn't it ironic that prescription meds used to lower BP & cholesterol are ( to quote Suzy Cohen ) drug muggers... robbing the body of it.

I am a  64 year old taker of Co Q - 10 and use only the 50mg dose as I take no drugs. As I get older, I'll step up to the 100mg dosage.  BUT!  Thing is... beta blockers and statins rob the body of this vital thing and anyone on these drugs should definitely, in my opinion, take Co Q - 10.  (To be wise, check with a Dr or Pharmacist before adding any supplement to your regime)

I hear that, Jess... I would resent having to take drugs.
