The History of Haven

It was started as a lark.
A place to play,
A place to talk.

But, without warning it grew.
A member here, another two.
Some stayed, some left.
Some old, some new.

Super soakers, closets, a spa and a pool.
The nightly worship of our object of adoration.
Chat parties, long talks, games
and yes a few arguments, too.

But, through it all the bonds of friendship formed
in a tiny little corner of the world we call Haven
where are hearts were warmed in our internet home.

Then one morning,
without warning,
like a plug had been pulled
it was gone.

One by one we logged in,
and one by one we looked,
We searched, we cried,
We tried our favorites,
Our communities and our histories.
But, overnite that which took months to build
had vanished, leaving nothing but a memory.

There were tears,
Frustration, anger, and disbelief.
But slowly, there became a resolve,
To rebuild our internet home.

So, from the vandals ashes,
Live a phoenix Haven did rise.

Our family strong, our work goes on.
To play, to chat,
and to form new bonds.

To all who come through Haven's doors.... Enjoy your stay here... it's your home now too...
