Hi Phil.
An update on the pain clinic. We have managed to finish the 4 weeks and i am still very impressed with the whole program. My daughter received excellent treatment from people who understand her problem. They tried blocks but they didn't work and then did a ketamine trial. She has responded well to this and is now spending 3 weeks at home until we get to return to complete the next 4 weeks. This again is physical Therapy, psychological support, neuro feedback and pain management. She is expected to have up to 6 ketamine treatments in this time and hopefully it will make a difference. She has come back from the first part of the treatment much more confident, happier and with a reduction in both medication and pain levels. We await the next trip but I can say already she has more strategies to cope with this awful disease.
if you need information on the clinic look up the California pain clinic at UCLA under Dr Joshua Prager.
