Hello Zap,
I to welcome you to our group, I am one of the assistant managers of this group of wonderful and helpful people. I also got RSD the same way you did, a carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand. Previous to this incident I had a right hand surgery and had both ulner nerves moved to the inside of my elbows..they call it an Ulner Transposition. Both of these ulner surgeries resulted in the nerves being trapped down in scar tissue with in 2 years, all total I have had 7 nerve surguries on my arms since 1994, the left hand carpel tunnel surgery that started the RSD was #6 and #7 was to re open up the left ulner nerve and release it from the scar tissue...they thought that is what was causing the sever burning in my left hand...wrong! #7 spread the disease to both arms, hands, shoulders and mid back with in a few months...this happened in 2000 and I have been on SSD and unable to do anything since...I type slowly with my index fingers as the rest do not work well. I was 46 when the RSD started, on friday I will be 55......I am a survivor!
Even tho I am an asst manager here I still need support as I am alone and this group has become my extended family. So again, Welcome

Franknberrie (Frank)
