Hey everyone, yea...Im still here, no remission yet, but I keep hopin! Today I start preping for a spinal block next monday. I am on Coumiden,a blood thinner because of a problem this past Feburary with blood clots in both lungs(pulmonary embolism) I cannot be on coumiden for 5 days before this injection and for 3 days after,during those daysI am off the blood thinner I have to do whats called bridging therapy. I have to give myself another kind of blood thinner during this period, I have to inject myself in the stomach with another kind of thinner during the 5 days before and 3 days after then back on the coumiden again. Sounds like an interesting week ahead, I am not looking forward to any of it, just the relief I will get from the spinal block for about 6 months. I will still have the other symptoms of RSD like the sweating and weakness, just not so much burning pain...well, wish me luck as these type of spinal injections can be very dangerous. Franknberrie |

Hey Frank,
I just had to ask how did everything go with this ? More so how did the spinal block work? Hope everything is going ok for you buddy, it sounds like a heck of a circumstantial procedure for you with the blood thinner situation. Hope all is well buddy!

Hi there,,,, My dear dear Frank. Hope that it all went all. So sorry that u or any of us has too learn to do all of this crud. My dear,,,, Hang tite,,, Has to get easer n better for us. Now,,, So sorry that I have not been around. Darn ,,, live id n there better ideas,,,, are not better ideas,, just like junk fords. Darn ,,, I hate it when I am not feeling well n things go so dearly cruddy.. been a month since getting into hotmail accounts,,, n still having troubles with them. Am making in slowly. Getting,, the error messages,, this account does not exist. Darn,,, useing these accounts for more than four yrs. What the heck!!!!! Darn it,,, ammune system of mine is really really low also,,,, staff infection is now 3 months old,,,,, n still going!!!!!! No antibotics working. Drs are up in arms about it so far. got too reallly really be careful cause the throwing up n weight loss is starting up again. Not good,,, I know is the stress n problems around me not helping me physically. And then the stupid ID problems in hotmail. So please,, know that I do care,,,, just working on getting these corrected. Huggzz n let us know what n how u r making out. Annie |

Hi Phil, Thank you for your concern Phil, things went smooth and the bridging therapy did its job. I have a stomach full of tiny bruse marks but it was worth it. What I am getting is actually called an "upper eppidural" it was injected at about c4. Mainly the eppidural was to help with the pain I have because of a deteriating disc disease but the medicine seems to somehow also help with the RSD burning in my arms, the Dr says the it also gets on the sympathetic nerve. The purpous of the shots instead of the coumiden pills is that the shots are a short acting 24 hour medicine and the coumiden is a long acting drug that is built up in my system. So, on the day of the procedure I do not give myself a shot,get my blood checked(a protime)and at the time of the injection there is no thinner in my blood and it will quagulate and not let me bleed to death internally. I am back on the coumiden and had to do three shots after to get my blood thin right away so I dont end up with another clot or clots in my lungs. We gotta do what ever it takes, Im not gonna let RSD or anything else make me give up! Frank |
