Hi,

My son is just being taken off Lyrica bc of the side effects.  Not only has he gained a tremendous amount of weight becasue he was hungry all the time, but he started having bad dreams and disturbing thoughts while awake.  The Lyrica was first cut by half and all the bad thoughts went away immediately.  They are now decreasing the remaining dose very slowly and increasing the substitute, Topamax.  My son finds that Topamax is not such a good pain killer as Lyrica but he is not on the full dose yet.  The bad thoughts and dreams were really awful and you should ask your doctor to try other medications until they find a better one for you.
