Does anyone here have psoriasis? I have something on my left arm and the back of my neck that seems to fit that best. The info I read says it is most common on the knees, elbows and hands. My doctor didn't say anything about it, just prescribed some ointment. Just curious about it, because the place on my neck where it occurs seems to have lost some feeling. And it is only on my left arm and hand(the same arm/hand that doesn't move right). |

Hi Spirit, I have psoriasis, as well. I have it on both lower arms, my left armpit and on my right side of my hip. I'm guessing that I have psoriatic arthritis or a form of psoriasis but I can't remember the name of it right now, though. It's VERY difficult to treat and I've tried numerous ointments prescribed by a dermatologist that haven't really worked well. They recommend sun to help keep the flaring down and I've tried UV therapy in a Dr's office and that has potential for helping quite a bit, but my frustration was only being allowed to go under the light for a minute at a time, so it became quite time consuming for me to get to the Dr's by bus, sit there and wait and then go under a light for one minute then I'm done. They would also only allow you to go every second day. I think a cleanse might help since it could be toxin related, too, from foods, meds or whatever else is in your system that your system is trying hard to fight off since our immune systems are low that seems to make sense to me. I've tried numerous ointments and haven't had much luck with those, either, but I think the UV therapy is the best thing I've found that helps...it's just disciplining myself to go under a light for one minute at a time!
