Hi all, Now, I'm no fan of Pigeons, but I couldn't pass this poor little mite. The Pigeons in my town only ever seem to give birth to empty eggs....well I guess this one was different. Taking my son to school this morning, we noticed what looked like a crumpled up bit of newspaper. Except for one thing...It was a breathing crumpled up bit of newspaper. On closer inspection, it was a tiny baby pigeon. Dylan sacrificed his fleece jacket so the bird could have something warm and comfy to lie in. I picked the bird up..and wrapped him up, took Dylan to school and took the bird home. I have given the little bird some hands on healing too...and he's chirping away at the moment. Someone will come and take him away later on, so that he can get his wing fixed. I think if we'd just left him, he would have died, I am very glad we didn't just walk by......and that we noticed 'the breathing bit of newspaper'. Still, everything for a reason!!! Just thought I'd share. loads of love chazz and birdy! xxxxxxxxxxxx |

He did live through the night....by this morning he was 'cheeping' and up on his sore leg. Ate a lot of seed which is why I ended up calling him Pig!lol. The Man came to collect him at 9pm tonight...he works for an animal sanctuary just down the road from me. I was a bit sad to see little Pig go, but I know it's for the best. At least I know I've given him a good chance of survival . loads of love chazz xxxxxxxxxx |

couldn't help myself, had to give Pig a visit to see how he was getting on. He's so fat!!lol. Paul, the man who is helping Pig recuperate, told me that Pig couldn't be a wild pigeon anymore as he was reliant on humans for food now. He's going to have to keep him! LOL. I'm quite glad I got him taken off me now..really don't want a pet pigeon! loads of love chazz xxxxxxxxxx |
