All about me, groups are pulling the plug, having migrated to Aimoo, Yuku and Multiply, to name the 3 most popular, and we have yet to make a decision!!!

Come on folks .. I've created the test sites ... (The links to these are in the thread entitled Choosing a New Group Site). It ain't rocket science, so please, at least go have a look and give some feedback on what you think you'd like! Apart from a stalwart few, there's been precious little response.

If you don't give an opinion, I'll just go ahead and move the group anyway, rather than lose all our stuff into the ether! AND I'll do it on January 31st, when I delete this MSN site!

Oh Sheepie sorry.i have looked at a couple but cant really make up my mind which is best,so I am more than happy to go with whatever you decide,as you seem to know more about the pros and cons of each site.I would be shattered to loose the group..the postings have kept me sane on many a long winters day here..well short winter long summer...just tell me what to do and I shall do it.. I promise.it is unfair of us to leave it to you,but I suspect others are like me and trust you to choose the best one cos we are a bit overwhelmed by the choice..(and does the flatery get us brownie points?)
Still at work here ,dealing with idiots ringing me up and asking (in gruff voices) "have you got a room for tonight" And when I ask where? Like which CITY helps a little, they shout at me....like I should know where they want to stay, tonight and New years eve...and they shouldnt have to book in advance for party central  locations as they are special, oh and as it such a last minute booking in a popular location can they have a disount please??????/
*tears out hair and laughs hysterically*

Awww I'm not getting at anyone Krys, just want a response lol

At the moment it is looking like a choice between Aimoo and Yuku, both of whom allow migration of the pages in this group.

If people really can't decide, I will make a decision for you, and you will receive invites ... but they will be from the site, not me personally, so check your junk folders! I will also put a message in here and maybe even email the members, though looking at MSN's past history of actually sending the emails .... who knows if you'll get them?

You can always get me by mailing me at [email protected] !

Once again MSN have stabbed us in the back, so we have no choice but to move...at least they haven't deleted everything without telling us this time. (Anti Microsoft bias?...from me?...as if!)

I'm sure none of us want to lose the relevant info & photos on here, so we really do need a site that offers migration rather than having to move everything manually.

I'm still backing Aimoo at the moment...Yuku and Multiply are both OK, but Aimoo seems the best of the bunch. BUT...that's only my opinion...

Sheepie has done really stirling work investigating all these sites, setting up test accounts and inviting us all to try them out - she really has been the driving force behind this and I'm sure she's put considerable time and effort into this - a lot of work.

I appreciate that people may be happy to let her make the decision where we end up, but it's always helpful to have some feedback. Another pair of eyes looking at a potential new site could well spot something we've missed - either a positive or negative aspect of that site - so please folks, if you get a chance within the next couple of weeks or so to look at the sites proposed, please do and let us know via the MSN group or by email. I know we're all busy, especially this time of year, but you could well spot something we've missed and all feedback is welcome.

One thing is certain....this site won't be here soon, so decision time is approaching fast!

That's the idea Krys...any feedback at all is handy and certainly if one of the proposed sites is a lot easier to use than the others (or a lot less difficult to use than the others) then that'll help make the choice.

Ooohhhh...and a very Happy New Year everyone.

Sheepie,
I guess I am at fault here as well.  I have been so pre-occupided with everything around me, but I think you understand and know that I will follow where ever this group goes.

Me, too.  Don't mean to shirk my responsibilities, but frankly, don't know how to find places, so will, of course, go wherever the majority wants to go.  And, of course, Sheepie, thanks for all your work.  I truly do appreciate it!     Hilli

Like I said folks ... not getting at anyone ... just offering a choice ... if you'd rather I chose for you, that's fine ... and at the moment it's looking very like a choice between:-

Aimoo click here and
Yuku .. click here

Both are up and running as test pages, and both can migrate all our pages here .. please look around and post if you wish .. would be good to get used to either or both before we have to!!

Both are easy to read and post, though they have different looks about them than MSN. I tend to favour Aimoo as it's easier to manage, thought I suspect Yuku might be the better choice .... any tech savvies out there ... please take a close look at Yuku with the aim of helping me to build it!!

PS: I would have replied sooner but MSN threw a wobbly and wouldn't let me call up the reply box !!

Hiya Sheepie

Been to both sites and posted replies there.  Not sure that my replies are going to be much help as I don't think that theres a lot to choose between them. (The sites that is not my replies!)
