I would like to bring your attention to a charity that, although is much less well-known that the Guide Dogs for the Blind, does sterling work - viz ... Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.
 
Being less well-known they do not draw the funding that the Guide Dogs do. They also take dogs from rescue centres for training up ... thus helping with the stray situation as well as helping humans. If you wish to help a charity, this has to be one of interest, eh ?
