Well we kinda went toe to toe, actually i think i won that battle,Compared to many of my neighbors....I live 30 Miles from Galveston, only had Minor roof damage, fence and a little siding gone......was without power from fri nite 6:30 pm til 11 am sunday,{again others in my area still dont have power}....Being the old seadog that i am i was very well prepared......Had generator, food, water, and some GREAT COMPANY.....dont ask...
Anyways   thanks for all the prayers....
They say we had 110 MPH winds come thru.....Ive been at sea with 144,think it was not near as bad there.....no trees, houses, fences, roofs, etc flying by out there...

love y'all Jack

Oh My Sweet Captain:

I'm so glad that U survived Ike.  Honey, I didn't know that U lived that close to Galveston..2 years ago, My brother who lives in Magnolia.. took Padre and I down to Galveston.. Had I known U lived in that vicinity.. we could have had lunch or dinner.. on padre of course!!

Now an answer to ur ?  U said and I quote "Being the old seadog that i am i was very well prepared......Had generator, food, water, and some GREAT COMPANY.....dont ask..."  Capt... I've known u just too long.. I know the answer to that ?   Let me guess.. U HAREM SHOWED UP AGAIN!!!"   AM I RIGHT????  ROFLMAO ... DO I KNOW U OR WHAT SWEET CHEEKS???
Now U also mentioned "Ive been at sea with 144,think it was not near as bad thereAre U referring to winds or women???  lmao  Can't ya just see the grin on my face from ear to ear while typing this??   Oh my captain, what am I going to do with u sweetie..  U just brightened my entire day today!!

BTW.. how did MY lighthouse fare during this hurricane.   Folks if U want to see a beautiful lighthouse and other yard ornaments that Capt Jack has made throughout the years.. I think they are on the drive in web site.. under Members albums.. but a quicker way to show us all Capt.  is copy/paste ur web site here for ALL to enjoy.  Honey I lost it.. when I lost my old hot mail.. dam..

But I'm so happy that U survive the storm honey.

Hugs ~ Elvis

Elvis, I talked to Jack by phone a few days before Ike hit....course he was on his way out to go work the rodeo and then dancing....told me to call him back...but everyone was too busy trying to batten down the hatches in expectation of the high winds and rain that we would get in NE Texas...Thank goodness, we did not get more that 70 miles an hour winds and some good rain.  My place is on high ground, but had lots of water in my pasture to the south.  It did rain hard enough to keep James and I from going boot scootin that Saturday night...dang it.

I'm glad Jack & 'whoever' made it through.  I had a lot of customers that were still without power this weekend in the Freeport/Lake Jackson area.

Love ya'll...take care and Elvis...stay away from those porches gal.
