This is a message board to tell us all about where you call "home". Country of state... whatever. Post a pic, give us some history or stats or post a link to a relevant web site.

If you wish, you can start each discussion with the name of the country or state. Then someone else from there can add to it.

With as many different states and countries we have represented in the room, we should be able to learn a lot about where everyone is from.

Hugs,
Stormy

Well my guess is you don't need an explanation of who lives here but you might not know that it's called the people's house. However, I ain't once gotten to eat or sleep there. LOL

Taken by me while standing in the Middle of Pennsylvania Avenue in July of 2000 with Moosie and October my 2 chat pals. I'm going back this spring to see the Cherry Blossoms bloom and talk and talk and talk to MOOSIE The next time we're waking up at the crack of dawn and going inside to say hi to Georgie LOL
 Here's another angle....
Just in the mini chance that someone who's not American or seen this angle....yes that is the Washington Monument in the background (tall white tower) which was being rennovated at the time of my visit. It has now been restored and rejuvinated. Here's my last picture of the grand ole house ..........

This as you might guess is just a postcard and it's the South Lawn aka BACK PORCH. The most surprising thing to me upon my visit was it's so much smaller than I thought and the sharp-shooters CIA, FBI etc etc who are all over the roof and grounds do NOT have a sense of humor LOL.

Happy New Year Roomies!
I am a MA transplant who now lives in a small town in upstate NY, just north of Lake George. It is in the Adirondacks, which is a 6 million acre forest. Our main industry and money maker is tourism! Would someone please send me back to my ocean! lol I am a land-locked ex-sailor who owned and lived on a 33' sailboat! Our country is so full of nature's wonders. I've travelled to many states and have seen some of the unique beauties that each of our states possess! Ya'll need to see some of the beauty of this continent if you are able to. My travelling is over due to my physical 'speed bumps', but I've been so very fortunate to have been able to see much of this country and Canada! If you can do it, do it! See as much our your country as you can!
