Hello Ladies I have not been on this "path" for very long, although I am well aware that I have taken baby steps in this direction for most of my adult life, starting with womens studies classes, moving on to sociology classes ect. My feminist readings have been slowly working their way into the Wiccan Rhelm for a while, as most of my eco-feminist readings are Starhawk books. I still consider myself to be very much "in the broom closet" as I do not know enough or understand enough to jump out and say "Hello, look at me I am Pagan!" - I just do not think that would be fair to the craft or even to those within the craft who are... well, more educated. I am here to learn, grow and well learn and grow; my main area of interest is mostly herbal, I am hoping that this beautiful BC weather keeps up so that I may be able to start my herb garden, within the next few days. My green thumb has taken some time, but it is getting to be almost on par with my mother who is well, quite the witch in the garden! she can grow a garden on a bed of rocks! (but that is my soapbox of my mother, others may not see her work as reverently as I do) My other areas of interest are, painting, writing poetry, working with childern (trying to complete my Child and Youth Care degree), rollerblading, kickboxing... and a lot more. I am most calm when I am wearing Amber, and holding a lapis stone in one pocket and an adventurine stone in the other, I prefer to wear earth tones as they settle me the most (probably why my job at Safeway is so wonderful, they've changed their uniforms to earthen tones)... I prefer my sandals and bare feet to wearing constricting shoes and though not very adult, I prefer my tank tops and sweat pants to blouses and blazers. This may be more that needed/neccessary, but I tend to get carried away sometimes! Merry Part, Blessed Be little_pink P.S. Thank-you for allowing me to become a part of this group so that I may learn and grow and eventually come out of the broom closet! Page By BroadwayBaby |
