Face Paint

1 teaspoon Cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon Water
1/2 teaspoon Cold cream
Food coloring

Combine cornstarch and water in a small dish.
Stir together until mixture is smooth.
Stir in food coloring and cold cream.

Finger Paint #1

1/2 cup cornstarch
2 cups Cold Water
food Coloring

Mix cornstarch with cold water in saucepan. Bring
to a boil and continue boiling until it thickens.
Let mixture cool slightly, then pour equal amounts into
small jars and color with desired drops of food coloring.
Store in the fridge and use within a week.

Finger Paint #2

Mix 2 cups flour
2 teaspoons Salt
2 1/4 cups Cold Water

In a large saucepan, mix flour and salt with
1/4 cup of warm water until smooth. Gradually
add 2 cups hot water and boil till thick and clear.
Color with food coloring or Tempera Paint.

Finger Paint #3

1 cup cornstarch
1 cup Ivory flakes
1/2 cup Salt
1 quart Water
Poster Paints or food colors

Mix all ingredients together in a large saucepan.
Cook together until thick. Color with dry poster
paint or food coloring.

Finger Paint #4

4 cups Liquid Starch
1-1/2 cups soap flakes (NOT detergent!)
1 Tablespoon Powdered Tempera Paint

Place the tempera paint in 2 quart bowl and add
just enough hot water to make a creamy paste.
Gently stir in the soap flakes and blend together.
Add the liquid starch, 1 cup at a time, stirring
until you get the consistency you want.
Store in a covered container in the refriderator.

Puffy Paint

2 cups Salt
2 cups Water
2 cups Flour
Food coloring or Tempera paints

Mix water, salt and flour together. This recipe
can be doubled or tripled if needed. Add food
coloring or tempera paint to mixture until desired
color is obtained.
Spoon the colored mixture into squeeze bottles.
Have the children squeeze the mixture onto a thick
paper plate or piece of cardboard. Have enough
colors of the puffy paint available so that they
can mix the colors. Let their creations dry
overnight on a flat surface. When this dries
it is rock hard and the salt sparkles.
