I was having a conversation with a Christian , one of the nice ones, who used to be a wiccan where she had a spell backfire on her and was wondering:

Have you ever had any spells backfire on you?

What kind of spells were they?

Why do spells backfire?

What are the affects/effects of a backfired spell?

Persoanlly, I havn't cast many maybe one or two and they worked but havn't had any backfire.

there is a very simple answer, as matter a fact it more than likely one of the first things your learned in the craft.

Have you ever had any spells backfire on you? I have never had a spell backfire on me, BUT I haven't had spells work the way I wanted them to.

What kind of spells were they? some were money. others for other things lol

Why do spells backfire? spells usually backfire because I feel the intent on the part of the caster. I think it's realy important for the spell caster to have a clear picture in their head of what it is they wish to manifest. Often times our heads are filled with SO MUCH stuff in them that it is hard to concentrate on JUST one thing. and so often times other things are thrown in there. with out us realizing, so the message and the intent is not clear.

Also lets not forget about karma, if a spell is something that will hurt someone then chances are it will fail or back fire on you and that would be karma bitch slapping you in the back of the head saying wake up and get your head out of your ass. ( in my opnion) .

When ever something is manifested it is being drawn (again in my opnion) from something else. Usualy energies. and it is important as I said before to have a clear head so that what it is you wish to manifest is clear to those energies so they have a direct path to what it is you wish to achive.

This is just MY theory on the matter mind you not what is absolute... LOL

What are the affects/effects of a backfired spell? backfired spells can lead to anything.

You ask for money, and your aunt dies and leaves you an inheritance.

You find money on the ground say after your spell, and you keep it and use it and find out later that your friend lost his rent money on his way to work and no one turned it in.

You cast a love spell. and instead of the man or woman falling deeply in love with you they become obessed with you, much like in practicle magick. I know that's Hollywood and all. But it is a good example of a spell run a rye. You must be cery careful of what it is you are trying to achieve and the power passion and energies behind it.

I agree with what you said about the "and yea harm NONE, do as you will" being a reason whay spells backfire.

I also agree with the affects of a backfired spell especially concerning Money those examples are great and I use the inheritance one quite often.
