Let's talk about the beautiful color Blue for a moment. How does it make you feel? Calm? Relaxed?Wistful? Dreamy? Depressed? Sad? Blue is another one of those cool and calming colors. Some people may be sensitive to it and may feel brought down by it. If you are one of those people you can always adjust the hue or even work with purple ( which is warmer as it has red in it). Here is a list of what blue is associated with. Blue can be a soothing color perhaps reminding us of the open sky or the ever ending sea. It is associated with the Throat Chakra which involves the ability to speak ones truth ( amongst other things). Let's look at some other hues in the Blue Palette to see what they are associated with. Light Blue - Spirituality, Devotion, Meditation, Peace Dark Blue- Depression, Moodiness, Changeability,Subduing Royal Blue - Laughter, Joy, Jovialty, Loyalty,Power, Protection Silver Blue - Deep Wisdom, Psychic Awareness Aqua - Peace, Tranquility Turquoise - Meditation, Awareness, Creativity Indigo - Emotional problems ( balancing), Changeability, Balance out karma, Meditations ( deep ones) Protection on an astral level. So what do you do with blue? Well if you are already feeling in a "blue" mood then you would probably do well to steer clear away from here and add some perk into your day with some of the more energizing colors. If however you are looking to calm down, relax, realize peace or add some harmony in yourself or surroundings try some blue on. You can dress yourself in blues. Remember a little goes a long ways. You can try a breathing technique ( explained in the color breathing post). You can sit in front of or near a blue light for awhile ( easy enough done. Check out the post called "Bathing in Colored Light" ). You can carry a gemstone of said color on your person. You can meditate or just focus on a blue candle for a while too, soaking up what the color has to offer you. These are just a few suggestions. I am sure you will find more throughout this Board.
